Establishment of foreign-invested corporation
Establishment of foreign-invested corporation
When a foreigner establishes an investment corporation in Korea, the foreign company or foreigner must invest more than KWR 50 million won. However, in reality, an investment of more than KWR 100 million won is required for the procedures at the bank or tax office to proceed smoothly.
Requirements and procedures for applying for a D8 visa
In order to apply for an investor's D8 visa, at least KRW 100 million won of investment must be transferred from abroad to Korea. We can act on behalf of investors from reporting investments, opening bank accounts, establishing corporations, registering businesses, registering investment companies, and issuing visas.
D8 Visa for Dispatching Executives of Investment Corporations
If an overseas company establishes an investment corporation in Korea, it can send executives, senior managers, and experts from overseas headquarters to Korea. One person can be dispatched for every 100 million won, and additional dispatches can be made when hiring Korean employees.
Extension of D8 Visa
The business performance is very important when extending the D8 visa. If the business performance is good, the period of stay may be extended, and if the business performance is not good, it may be disallowed. However, at the beginning of the business, you can extend it by submitting a reason for poor performance.
High-value investor permanent residency benefit (D8 -> F-5-5)
Anyone who invests more than $500,000 to establish a foreign investment corporation and employs five or more Koreans for more than six months as a full-time employee can apply for F-5-5 permanent residency. Codes of criminal background, income requirements, and Korean language requirements are exempted.
High-value investors can change from D8 visa to resident visa (D8 -> F2)
An individual who has invested more than $100,000 and an employee dispatched from a foreign corporation who has invested the same amount can change to an F2 resident visa if they stay for more than three years. Those who have invested more than $300,000 and hired two Koreans (including employees dispatched from a foreign investment corporation) can also change to an F2 visa.
Establishment of Branch / Liaison office & D7 visa
Establishment of Branch
When a foreign company installs a domestic branch, it can be established with small capital and can conduct business activities that can generate profits. In addition, employees of overseas headquarters can be dispatched with a D7 visa.
Establishment of Liaison Office
Since the liaison office is for market research, liaison work, and contract work before full-scale sales activities, sales activities are not possible. Since there is no need to register with the court, establishing a liaison office is relatively easier than establishing a corporation or setting up a branch.
D7 Visa for dispatched staff
The D7 visa is for dispatching employees from overseas headquarters to branches or liaison offices in Korea. Only executives, senior managers, and essential professionals who have worked at the headquarters for more than one year can be dispatched.
