F-2-7 Visa Requirements

1. Employees of listed corporations
- – Employees of a corporation listed on KOSPI or KOSDAQ A foreigner whose employment has been confirmed by concluding an employment contract.

2. Employees in promising industries
- – IT, technology management, nano, digital electronics, bio, transportation and machinery, new materials, environment and energy industries, or foreigners whose employment has been confirmed by signing an employment contract.

3. Professionals

F-2-7 Family Visa
- Spouses and minor children can also work after receiving an F-2-71 visa.

Criminal background checks (domestic and international)
- You have been sentenced to a prison term (including probation) within five years of the date of application.
- A person who has violated the Immigration Control Act three or more times within three years from the date of application, and the total amount of the penalty is more than 5 million won.
- You have been sentenced to a fine of KRW 3 million or more for violating the laws of the Republic of Korea within three years of the date of application.
- You submitted false documents at the time of application or within three years of the application date.
- If you are subject to a deposit ban
- If you have committed a crime and the immigration office believes that you may harm the interests of the Republic of Korea.
- You have been sentenced in a foreign country for certain violent crimes and crimes involving blackmail, extortion, fraud, voice phishing, drugs, and sexual assault.
- A person who has been sentenced to a term of imprisonment or more in a foreign country for No7 offenses, and five years has not elapsed since the date the sentence ended or was discharged.

Criteria for exemptions from submitting a foreign criminal history certificate
- A person who was born in South Korea and has not lived abroad for more than 6 consecutive months.
- Those who have submitted a criminal background check and have not spent more than six consecutive months abroad.
- Applicants for change of status within 3 months from the date of issuance of the criminal background certificate after submitting the certificate at the time of issuance of the visa at the overseas diplomatic mission
