Visas for foreign domestic helpers (F1-22 visas)

Invitee requirements

1. Reporting (D5), Presiding (D7), Investing (D8), Trade Management (D9), Teaching (E1) to Specific Activities (E7)
2. Those who changed from the above visas to F2, F5, or F6 visas
3. Foreign investors with investments of $500,000 or more (principals, executives, senior managers)
4. Investments of $100,000 or more but less than $500,000 are in high-tech industries
5. Income of more than 3 times GNI in the previous year (exempt for those who invested more than KRW 1 billion)
6. Must have humanitarian requirements
   1. Parenting children under 13
   2. Your spouse can certify that he or she needs a domestic worker due to illness or employment.

Foreign domestic worker requirements

1. 20 – 58 years old, middle school education or higher
2. Only one guest per invitee
3. Work hours limited to 8 hours per day, 209 hours per month
4. Hourly pay must be at least the minimum wage.

*For foreign domestic help visa, the screening is strict due to illegal stay in Korea. Also, you should check the past illegal stay in Korea, criminal history, etc. before hiring.
