D9 Visa Requirements
- – Scored at least 60 points out of a possible 160 points in the trade visa scoring system, with at least 10 points in the required categories.
- – The applicant has completed a business registration in their own name
- – No immigration violations within three years of the application date.

- A: If you have studied abroad for at least two years at a domestic university and earned a professional bachelor’s degree or higher

Who should apply for a D9 visa
- For the D9 visa, domestic residents and graduates of domestic universities have an advantage in meeting the score requirement.
- E7 work visa is difficult and D8 visa requiring investment of more than 100 million won is also difficult
- If you are not a graduate of a trade department, but have completed specialized trade training at a relevant institution and received a certificate of completion, business license, and trade business identification number.
- If you graduated from an overseas university, you may be eligible for points based on relevant majors, work experience, or trade achievements.
D9 Visa Extension: Points Based Trade Visa
The most important factor for extending a D9 visa is sales history. If you don’t have a sales track record, you may be able to get a 6-month extension if you have a letter of recommendation from a relevant institution, but it is difficult to get an extension if you don’t have consistent sales.
